This handle design was dubbed the Black Beauty for its composition of black fiber and aluminum spacers. The knife is an F39  and is in great condition with a bright full blade and great handle.  The axe is in great condition with the handle tight and bright and a leather sheath for both that is able to be separated for carry of one or other. This leather on the sheath has some cracking of the finish and has some loose stitches, but for the year is good. Those of you that have have bought and sold with me know I've had a number of these sets, this is the one I was holding back for myself and can no longer afford, you would be hard pressed to find better.  These will be shipped by priority mail and come sharp and ready to use or collect. A great set for the collector with Western no longer with us their quality knives are only going to go up in price!
