Description
Silver Plated Butterfly Pitcherby Emilia CastilloFREE SHIPPING! HELLO EMILIA CASTILLO'S ART LOVERS.Welcome to my auction!REG. PRICE US$ 1,000.00 + SHIPPING       Festive Pitcher with Multicolor Butterfly and Leaves.Hand Hammered and signedby Emilia Castillo. The leaves are made with malachite stone, the Butterfly is made with multi color jasper, and inlaid 925 silver.Measures 12.5" Tall x 5" x 3".The piece was on display in a shop in Sarasota Florida. The owner gave me some of his pieces to sell on ebay.It is brand new, never used. It is perfect from the outside, the only thing I want you to know is that the inside has some black spots that I couldn't clean using silver cleaner (maybe you have a better a way to do it). I'm showing this in one of the pictures.Don't forget to see my other auctions, I have matching pieces!SO... I'M READY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTION!   ABOUT THE ARTISTAward-winning designer Emilia Castillo is heir to the silversmith legacy begun by her father, Antonio Castillo. Antonio trained under renowned silversmith William Spratling and, with Emilia's uncles, founded the famed “Los Castillo” workshop that contributed to the development of Taxco jewelry in the 40's and 50's.Emilia Castillo’s work — porcelain with inlaid sterling silver and tableware that combines silverplate with alabaster, black onyx and malachite — takes simple forms from nature and transforms them into art.A sinuous malachite salamander is the handle on a silver pitcher; sterling silver tadpoles decorate porcelain plates with frogs balanced on the rim; scorpions and snakes rendered in stone crawl across serving pieces.Though her works are owned by presidents and kings, Emilia Castillo continues to live and work on the Old Taxco ranch where she grew up.“As a child, my toys were insects, reptiles, frogs, plants, and rocks,” says Emilia. Her work continues to be inspired by nature and childhood. Even her most elegant and functional pieces surprise us with their playfulness.THEIR SERVEWARE AND JEWELRY ARE SOLD IN MANY GALLERIES AROUND THE WORLD.IN USA ALSO AT "NEIMAN MARCUS"     Continental USA:FREE Standard Flat Rate ShippingINSURANCE INCLUDEDShips in 1 business day after payment.*International Shipping OK, just contact me to get a quote before bidding*PayPal payment immediate required.PLEASE CONTACT ME WITH ANY QUESTIONSBEFORE BIDDING,THERE ARE NO RETURNS GOOD LUCK!
