The eye-catching prisms in the crystal ball that are the result of precisely cut facets make this an especially intriguing gift. The brilliant rainbow of colors in the sea lion is created when pure gold is applied to the glass while it is still molten.  Figurine measures approximately 3.5 inches long and about 2.5 inches tall. Extraordinary care is taken to insure the safe arrival of your blown glass figurine.  We use a three-step process that has resulted in the safe shipment of thousands of Prochaska Galleries sculptures over the past 30 years.   Step 1: As it is being made, the glass blower takes special care to reinforce all stress points to help protect against shock damage.  Additionally all natural stresses are removed from the glass by a high temperature tempering process called annealing.    Step 2: After the figurine is removed from our annealing oven it is thoroughly inspected by the artist who makes certain that all internal stresses have been removed from the glass and that its surfaces have been properly vitrified.   Step 3: Finally, it’s time for careful packaging in not one, but two cartons.
