The bank has elaborate embossings on all surfaces. The condition is very good with some light rusting inside and the hinges work fine. "SECURITY SAFE DEPOSIT" is embossed on the front. There is a slot on top to put coins in and it has a mechanism which prevents the coins from being taken out once they are inside. The size is approx. 4.5 x 4 x 5.5 (high) inches. The combination lock works (dials turn smoothly) and it comes with a written combination. On the bottom is stamped/embossed "300 PAT. FEBY 15, 81 PAT. MAR. 1, 87". I am not sure if that is a "300" or "30C" or not. The patent dates are from 1881 and 1887. The wire handles on the side look original but they appear as not the same size on the outside.
