The Meserve/Sandburg reference suggested that this was a Brady photograph, but Ostendorf and Hamilton clatified that. This one is in excellent condition, a similar example in lesser condition sold on Ebay about 6 months ago for over $2600.00 This one is stamped on reverse, with back mark by E&HT Anthony 501 Broadway New York. At bottom of front Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1865 by E. & H. T. Anthony in the Clerk's office of the District Court of the U.S. for the So. District of New York.
