Thumb notch and top of hilt molded for thumb placement. Nickel silver hilt. Duralumin butt cap; Brass available upon request. Standard with natural stag. (Name etching, stainless blade, and wrist thong only options available.) Drop point hunter, similar to Model 11, but handle construction is reminiscent of 1930's design. Model 25-5" supplied with pouch sheath. Excellent skinning, outdoors knife. (Wt. 8 oz) My summary: this is a beautifully embellished Randall model 25 "Trapper" engraved by the late Tom Leschorn. The knife has also been scrimmed by Rick Bowles -- a very nice color scene of a Whitetail deer done in remarkable detail. The engraving is most amazing -- the top of the blade, hilt and duralumin butt cap all done in meticulous detail. The head of a Whitetail has been carved in the end of the butt cap -- both the hilt and bottom / underside of the butt cap were initialed by the engraver. Overall condition: easily near mint. The Johnson roughback sheath is also in near mint condition with only a light mark or two to be found. The back of the sheath looks new -- only a faint line at the throat from minimal storage. Correct RMK & 25 stamps on the back -- an unused plain salmon sharpening stone is in the pouch. As shown, an older Randall Made Knives carry case is included.I've included a full set of 12 photos with several close up shots of the engraving and color scrim.
