The turtle's shell, which forms the lid of the box, is elaborately enameled in blue, white, green, purple, and pink. Dozens of Austrian crystal crystals sparkle on the eight section center design; aurora borealis blue in the center panel, pale peach and green in the surrounding sections. A single clear crystal sparkles at the base of each of the "honeycomb" panels. The head and feet of the turtle are enameled in brown and olive. The textured legs, neck, and tail are adorned with dozens more Austrian crystals in pale pink, green, peach, and aurora borealis blue. On the head deep green crystals form the eyes and pink crystals line the mouth. The interior of the box features a magnetic closure and swirly pearlescent blue-green enamel lining the base and lid interior. The trinket box comes packaged in a bright red gift box lined with yellow satin.
