This magnificant picture has been framed (the frame of course is not from 1929)............ The article at the bottom of the photo says: The Melbourne Cup Favourite At Dawn - Before sunrise Phar Lap, the brilliant New Zealand winner of the A.J.C. Derby, had completed his morning gallop at Caulfield. Rugged and bandaged like an athlete in his dressing-gown ,he then retired to his stable to meditate in luxurious ease. .it is in excellent condition  ....the bottom of the picture where the text only is written has some very light toning.........the frame has couple very light small edge scratches/scuffing.....I only mention these things for accuracy as they are barely noticable or relevant........ actual frame measures approx 46.5 x  34cms.......picture of Phar Lap measures approx 36 x 26 cms......
