Please excuse any not-so-great pics; still getting the hang of it. This is a very nice exact reissue of a Civil-War folding dirk made by Edward Barnes Cutlery. It was produced in a limited edition in the late 1980s by Parker CXytlery Co., and is a QUALITY knife, USA-made. It features a locking 4" spear blade of hardened stainless, tang-stamped "US Edward Barnes & Sons" and deeply etched with "U*S," and stamped with number 665. Blade has a top false edge and is new and unsharpened. The knife also has very fancy nickel-silver bolsters, a nickel-silver bar shield, polished horn handles (2 tiny natural flaws in one; just indentations), brass liners and nickel-silver pins.
