Mirror Cased French Solid Silver Sewing Tool Set c 1840   Very pretty set of antique solid silver needlework tools housed in a beautiful imitation lizard skin case with mirrored lid surrounded by pleated silk and framed with a twisted silk braid. The tools on the silk velvet tray are: needlecase, scissors, stiletto and married thimble. The case is 3 1/4" x 5 1/2". All tools are marked with the boar's head used on French silver from 1838. All parts in excellent condition.
