Hilt is beautifully engraved over a set of fitted silver pinned iv slab handles tightly fitted over a tapered tang. Scabbard is solid old iv bound with hallmarked silver & pinned & inlaid with a central relief panel on each side that features an intricately carved oriental style dragon.This is a custom art knife hand made by legendary Australian knife maker Maurice McCarthy. Maurie is a retired jeweler who excels in exotic fittings & designs in exquisite detail.
