This beautiful, pre-historic tusk is from a male siberian wooly mammoth which became extinct about 10,000 years ago.The tusk measures about 35 inches long and sits on a hand carved rosewood base.The carving is very fine and deep with extra attention paid to detail. The carving is signed and done by a master carver in China.There are two rows of animals carved on the tusk with 13 elephants, 2 lions and 1 hippo with a bird on its back.The entire piece is carved from one tusk. The detail are amazing. Some are polished and others show details of the skin wrinkling.There are a few bushes at either end of the tusk where the carving starts and some more by some of the animals.I have enjoyed this wonderfully beautiful piece and I hope whoever buys it will enjoy it as much as I have.I have received an incredible amount of compliments on this piece.The original price was over $150,000.00Shipping and insurance are included in the price Place a Bid!
