Walt Disney's 50th Anniversary of Snow White & Friends The Collection of Disney Character Sculptures In 1984 I made my first trip to Walt Disney World. While there I came across one of the most realistic, beautiful, awe inspiring pieces of Disney memoriablia I had ever seen. It was "Having Dinner Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs". I have dealt in collectible memoriabilia since the late 1970's, and the Laurenz collection is by far among the most impressive collectibles I have ever come across. Originally the pieces created were to have limited runs of up to twenty five hundred pieces. Not a single piece ever reach that milestone, and in many cases of the later pieces that were created, less than 500 were made, and in select cases less than 200. These pieces are not only breathtakingly beautiful and realistic, but they are becoming harder and harder to locate. They represent not only an incredible chapter from Disney's animation library, but they are an investment as well. A modest example is LZD-6710 Mickey Mouse in Fantasia - original released in 1987 at a suggested retail of $550, this piece now commands up to $820.00 on the secondary market. Other pieces have more than doubled in value. Since 1983 the House of Laurenz has been recognized for its fine limited Collection of Disney Character Sculptures.
