The basket has a slightly inverted bottom and measures 9" in diameter by 3-1/2" high. The overall weight of this particular basket seems lighter than most Longaberger baskets and reminds me of a delicate treasured old hat box   utilizing a 3/8" weave on its mid- to upper-sides and narrow shoestring weave on and near its slightly inverted bottom.
