Description
REDUCED!!!!!! NO REASONABLE OFFER REFUSED. Collectors, please tell me the type so that I may fill in above information. ORIGINAL PHOTGRAPH POSTER by Lewis W. Hines for Mr. Kellogg. This is an old advertisement poster for the KELLOGG SCHOOLS' LIBERTY CAMPAIGN. A sort of photograph collage of pictures taken by Lewis W. Hines of the Ellis Island immigrants, ships, outside and inside the building, children dressed as Uncle Sam in a parade of wagons, a sign in 4 languages, and more.  Thick glossy photograph paper. Measures 18 inches by 24 inches. Across the bottom reads,"ELLIS ISLAND". Next line, "Opened in 1892 as a U. S. Immigration Station, almost half of all Americans can trace their roots to family members whose first steps on American soil were taken here.". Lower right corner reads,"KELLOGG SCHOOLS' LIBERTY CAMPAIGN". That should help with dating. Also, I belive the lines or borders that run through the photograph poster helps with dating. Something about, Lewis Hines used these lines set up the collages and the lines were not used in the reproductions. This was an original advertisement for a school Mr. Kellogg set up as a philanthropist.   Please go to Wikipedia.com to find fantastic information on Lewis Wicks Hine.  I have no idea what the Kellogg Schools' Liberty Campaign is about. Kellogg was a philanthropist. Also, we know that he did not agree with children working in factories. He was a real good guy that wanted to help end this practice. They both did. I wondered if the Kellogg School had anything to do with the current Kellogg School of Management?  Lewis W. Hine was born September 1874 and died November 1940 an American photographer. As the photojournalist for the NCLA (National Child Labor Committee), he snapped world famous pictures of the working conditions in factories across the United States. At times tricking the factory management into letting him onto the property pretending to take pictures of the impressive machinery. He died a poor man.  Please do your own research. No signature but nicely hallmarked.   Helpful information from collectors is appreciated and will be posted. Please advise on the KELLOGG SCHOOL Kellogg collectors. More pictures? Just ask. Questions are a great part of the Ebay experience. Worldwide shipping. Must wait for my invoice before making payment. Check, money order, and paypal happily accepted. Condition: Push pin pinholes around white border. Also, it rolls up when not held down. Borders/corners are missing. Dirty and needs cleaning. Old tape marks on the back. Has creases here and there. Notice pictures. Please ask any questions you may have before bidding. Some pictures I used a flash and some I did not. Pictures were taken around 6:30 this evening.
