They are an exact matching set. This among other items I acquired came from a man that traveled to Europe and brought back old items including maps, etchings and furniture. I have the cherry couch with great carving on the leg and foot, this man had and believe it to be also early 1800's. These two candelabras stand a large 16 1/2" tall having 3 swirling arm candle holders each plus the center post. On one's bottom is green felt. The other has no covering and you can clearly see this was made such a long time ago. There are some tiny dings here and there but these are truly in nice shiny shape. You can see the silver smiths detailed work in the pictures. I thought these were sterling but can find no mark. I took these to an antique expert and to two gold & silver jewelery dealers and neither one could say whether these were plate or sterling.They are magnificent and elegant. You can take the arms off to have a romantic two post candle lit dinner. These do display nicely of each. There also is an inscription here that is hard to make out but you could.(pictures) I will guarantee these to be very old possibly to the late 1700's. All this man had was OLD! and in rich taste.
