Here is another great member of THE GERMAN GRUNDIG FAMILY. This 5080 was build back in the fifhties in FURT GERMANY. The cabinet is made out of high pollished dark wood and is in a Mint / Near Mint condition. It's a very attractive huge radio. This radio works very fine with lots of volume and basses, all bad capacitors are replaced. Huge speakers inside !! Tone controle by mean of 5 THUMBWHEELS ,kind of pre-historic equilazer . The sound is typical GRUNDIG with warm deep basses and sprankling hightones. Five speakers are build in. The tubes are : ECC85 / ECH81 / EF89 / EAA 91 / ECC 81 / EF 80 / EBC 41 / EL84 / EL 84 / EM 34 . On the back the are connections for Antennas , TAPE , PHONO and extra speaker. This radio works on 110 and 220 volts and comes with american connections and cordplug ready to plug in and enjoy.
