This chair was purchased by a person that worked at Herman Miller in the late 1940's to early 1950's. I would put this chair at around 1951. This chair is all original Herman Miller, nothing has been replaced. The fiberglass shell is a tan color and in good condition, but does show some ware for being 55+ years old. The fiberglass shell is the early version that did not have any Herman Miller marks in the tool when the chair was made. The fiberglass is a solid tan color, but when the chair is put in the sun the fiberglass becomes translucent. The wood rockers are all original and in very good condition. The wood runners have a large radius on the edges which also suggest a very early version of this chair. The black wire base is also in very good condition and all original. What an awesome vintage piece of Herman Miller history.  Buyer pays all packaging and shipping costs. I will dismantle the rocker for easier shipping, if you wish not to have the rocker dismantled then specify when you buy the rocker. I accept paypal and payment by mail.
