Smith of Kentucky.  He made this beautiful example of near perfection using damascus, mastodon and gold.  It features a 3" handforged damascus blade that is extremely sharp, fitted with a solid gold thumb stud.  It has DOUBLE bolsters of matching damascus, with double lines of inlaid filigree gold.  The mastodon ivory handle scales are fixed to the knife with solid gold screws.  The titanium liners are engine turned and anodized gold as well.  The full backstrap of damascus is completely fileworked inside and out, and the top of the blade spine fits the filework seamlessly when open!  The action on this very SHARP knife is silky smooth and locks up like a vault! It is MINT and comes in a leather pouch.  This knife comes from John for $2,300, and is rare to see a double bolstered version.  My NO RESERVE auction starts at about one-half of that cost!!
