The inside pages are tan to cream colored and supple. Young Men #24(Timely) TIMELY/ATLAS RARE CLASSIC This is an ORIGINAL 1953 ISSUE OF 'YOUNG MEN #24' FEATURING: THE HUMAN TORCH! SUB-MARINER! CAPTAIN AMERICA! as well as THE RED SKULL! A VERY IMPORTANT GOLDEN AGE COMIC! This was the first comic book of Marvel's "superhero revival" period that reintroduced the Human Torch, Captain America, and the Sub-Mariner to comic fans. Featured were recaps the origins of all three heroes, plus appearances by dastardly villains Hitler and the Red Skull. Russ Heath, Bill Everett, and John Romita Sr. handled the interior art. The Cover is detached from the Book, the rest of the Book is tightly bound, lays flat, with no torn, loose or missing pages. The pages have light foxing (browning) around edges. The cover still does retain some of its original Glossiness. There are a few small tears along the edges of the Covers as shown in photos, there is about a 1' inch spine slit at top spine as shown. Book has been stored in Acid free cardboard sleeve for years.
